The Blessing Project

Giving the blessings and hope of Jesus to those in need this Christmas.

How You Can Get Involved

  1. Step 1: In December, pick an ornament with a family’s name off our Christmas tree at church to bless them.

  2. Step 2: Shop for the family according to their needs/desires written down.

  3. Step 3: Drop the gifts off at church before December 24th

  4. Step 4: Attend Christmas Eve service and the gifts will be given to bless the families.

FAQs

does the family I want to be blessed have to be outside of the church?

No. While our desire is to bless people in our community outside of the church, the family can be one that attends Cornerstone Church.

can gift cards be given?

Yes for the adults and no for the children. While we know adults could use gift cards, we want the children to open gifts they can use at that moment. If getting gifts cards for adults, please make it store specific and not a general money gift card.

Are families required to attend service to get their gifts?

While we desire the families receiving the blessing of gifts to be at service with us on December 24th, we are not requiring them to be there for that and will make arrangements to give them their gift if they cannot attend.

Where can I turn in the gifts?

You can turn in the gifts at church service on December 3rd, 10th, and 17th, or contact us to drop them off on a different day. All gifts must be delivered before December 21st.

IS there a minimum or limit to the spending for each family?

We want each person to given according to their means, we ask that you stick to the list provided for each family. If you need assistance in giving more than you can afford, please contact us for help.

can I get them a gift not on their list?

We ask that you stick to the list provided for the family, however if you would like to give them additional gifts on top of that list, please feel free to do so.
