Let's Build His Church!

  • The vision is to have at least 6 small groups happening across the Coachella Valley once per month. As a small group host, you would open your home once per month and invite those in your circle, preferably those that don’t have a church home, or those in the Cornerstone Family, and have a small group gathering.

The small group can be done in one of two ways: 1) You can do a study group where pre made material is ready for you to push play, watch the study, and then lead a discussion with premade material for the study. Or 2) you can host a community group that is based on gathering friends and family together, doing an activity, and then incorporating a small devotional time.

With either study, we ask that 3 things happen: 1) a time to eat and fellowship together, 2) a time to have fun, and 3) a time to study and grow in God’s Word together.

  • The vision is to raise $25,000 to use towards getting in a new facility. We will be seeking to own our own building, however it may be that we need to lease a building first. We desire to have a place to call our own for many reasons, including not having to set up and tear down each Sunday, be able to hold other services, events and groups during the week, expand into more classrooms for children and youth, and be a place we can work from for church business.

We are asking individuals to commit to a level of giving each month outside of the normal tithes and offerings. The 4 tiers of monthly giving are $25, $50, $100, and $250. Of course, any amount in between is honored and appreciated as we Build His Church in 2024.

  • The vision is to raise people to become more mature in their knowledge and walk with God. In order to do this, we first need those who are wiling to disciple others. We don’t need experts to do this, just people who are mature in their walk with God and can lead others to that maturity.

For those who are willing to disciple and mentor someone, you would commit to meeting with them at least twice per month, lead them in studying the Bible, and answer questions they may have. The purpose in doing this is to guide and mentor them in their walk with God. As a mentor for someone, you would also commit to being discipled by Pastor Ryan, and would have him as a resource when guidance is needed for you.

For those who want to be discipled and mentored, you would commit to meeting with your mentor twice per month, commit to do the study in the Bible they are asking you to do, and commit to grow in your relationship with God.

  • The vision is to increase the number of volunteers we have to first off, allow us to do more as a church, and secondly, to reduce the load of the volunteers currently in place. All that is required is a heart to serve. Talents, giftings, and skills can be learned. If you are someone who would like to volunteer on a Sunday, during the week, or on special projects, then we could use your help. Here are the areas we are looking for volunteers…

Children’s Ministry, Worship, Coffee, Tech, Outreach, Church Family Care, Usher, Set Up, Greeter, Prayer Team, Interning, Photography, Social Media, Camera, Media Editing.

If you have a heart for something else not listed above, please let us know.

  • The vision is to meet the needs of those we call church family. Within Cornerstone church there are may needs at various times and we want to have teams in place to meet those needs at a moment’s notice as much as possible. If you have a heart to care for those who are in need, this is for you.

Within the Family Care team we have different teams. These teams consist of the prayer team, meals team, hospital visitation team, and care team to minister to those who are sick. If you would like more information on any of these teams, please reach out to us for more details.

42 And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. 43 And awe came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were being done through the apostles. 44 And all who believed were together and had all things in common. 45 And they were selling their possessions and belongings and distributing the proceeds to all, as any had need. 46 And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, 47 praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved. - Acts 2:42-47
